Welcome, my name is Carolina Diaz and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's degree in Social Work from George Mason University. I have nearly 20 years of experience in a variety of settings helping children, youth, and families create transformation in their lives. My personal journey as an immigrant and being the first in my family to graduate from college provides me with a profound understanding of the unique barriers and cultural dynamics many individuals navigate.
I believe that a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship is essential for healing and connection. My approach is client-centered and strength-based, meaning I see you as the expert of your life, and our work will focus on cultivating your inherent resilience. By integrating ideas and techniques from different therapeutic modalities, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs.
My nature as a therapist is empathic, nurturing, and compassionate. I bring genuine curiosity to our sessions, and I am passionate about creating a space where you can gain self-awareness, develop mindfulness skills, and explore your strengths with confidence. My commitment to diversity and social justice is integral to my practice, and I warmly welcome clients from all backgrounds.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience, my practice is dedicated to supporting youth and their families. I hold both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from George Mason University and have a deep passion for helping young people navigate life's unique challenges.
My primary goal is to cultivate a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can process thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered. To achieve this, I utilize evidence-based techniques such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help youth and young adults manage stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also integrate mindfulness strategies to help clients stay present and gain control of their emotions.
Born to immigrant parents, I have a personal understanding of how culture shapes our perspectives and identity. I bring this awareness and sensitivity into our sessions, ensuring you are seen and understood for exactly who you are.

The Colibri (hummingbird) generally symbolizes joy, beauty, playfulness, as well as adaptability and resilience.
